Esoteric Yoga Training
The term teacher refers to someone who teaches and provides education. In Esoteric Yoga a participant’s learning is of a personal nature. For this reason it is more accurate to describe an Esoteric Yoga teacher as a presenter.
An Esoteric Yoga presenter instructs and guides participants through a sequence of movements and positions as a means for them to learn from their own body and experiences. Therefore the learning essentially comes from a participant’s own unfolding. This type of presenting and learning is likened to Plato’s concept of education, who stated that the answers are already within us. Esoteric Yoga reconnects us with our inner knowing about our body, behaviours, the science of energy, stillness and movement and our innate connection to everything around us. The key principles that the Esoteric Yoga presenter training standards are founded upon are; energetic awareness, energetic integrity and energetic responsibility. |
The purpose of Esoteric Yoga is to re-establish a relationship with the true nature of ourselves and the energetic quality of stillness – a relationship that is felt, developed and lived from the honouring of our body. Esoteric Yoga presenters develop the understanding that our energetic state of being, which is a result of our livingness (daily choices), determines the energetic quality we bring to everything we do.
An integral part of the training standards is a commitment to deepening and developing our lived stillness. This energetic responsibility is the essence of an Esoteric Yoga Training Program. Every Esoteric Yoga presenter undergoes comprehensive training and commits to abiding by the Esoteric Practitioners Association Code of Ethics as well as adhering in-full to regulatory requirements. The Esoteric Practitioners Association is there to make sure that all practitioners are holding their commitment to live and work with the highest of standards. |
The Esoteric Practitioner Association (EPA), established in 2009, offers a benchmark in complementary healthcare. The standards its EPA recognised practitioners adhere to are of the highest standards practiced worldwide. These standards include a commitment to the energetic integrity and living principals that offer true healing for clients.
In addition to qualifying in their chosen modality, and fulfilling the requisite number of hours of practice training and study subjects, practitioners are required to demonstrate that they represent the quality that is the hallmark of the EPA. This quality is a level of professionalism, integrity and respect for clients. It is a world pioneer in the field of healthcare. |
In short, all practitioners agree, as part of their EPA recognition, to abide by and adhere to the EPA Code of Ethics and Conduct, which describes in full the meaning of integrity and responsibility that is required of a practitioner. The EPA provides a standard of healthcare that people can trust. This is important in a day and age when stress, pain, disease and illness and other health markers are on the rise.
EPA recognition by the EPA is for one year. Each year practitioners are re-assessed to determine whether they are living and practising in such a way that represents the integrity and professionalism of the EPA. |
